How to reach the island of Vulcano

The Aeolian Islands are connected by sea all year round, with several options that change by season. The main gateway is Milazzo, on Sicily’s north coast: from here, hydrofoils (passengers only) and ferries (also vehicles) depart daily. In summer there are also direct connections from other ports such as Naples, Messina, and Reggio Calabria. Always check official websites for schedules and tickets before you travel.

The simplest route: via Milazzo
